Software Developer
The Computational Sciences group at Galenea is seeking a software developer to join a small team designing, implementing and maintaining applications for processing, managing, analyzing, and visualizing data from our proprietary synaptic screening platform, the MANTRA™ System. Qualified candidates will have experience in software design and development, including both front-end and back-end software; the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with users to understand and solve problems; comfort with quick prototyping, iterative development, adaptation and other “agile programming” practices; comfort working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment; an aptitude for software and hardware troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years experience.
Experience with the following technologies:
• Web-based application development using Perl or Python, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Relational databases, including database design and SQL
• Mac OS X or other Unix-like operating systems
• Experience with signal and image processing, data visualization and interactive graphics, and iOS app development are all desirable but not required.
