Galenea is a biotechnology company committed to improving the quality of life for people
with central nervous system diseases. The company was founded in 2003 based upon research
from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Rockefeller University. Through our unique
access to proprietary technology, animal models and human genetic analysis, our scientists are
engaging in cutting-edge research for the development of novel treatments for psychiatric diseases
with a focus on schizophrenia. By employing sophisticated preclinical models at an early stage
of candidate development, we can select compounds that have the best chance of clinical and
commercial success. Our business model is to develop and license early stage technologies and
to advance them to Phase II proof-of-concept studies at which stage they can be further developed
through partnerships with global pharmaceutical companies. At Galenea, we foster a vibrant,
interactive, and collaborative scientific and business environment and consider career growth and
development a high priority.
